Writing Feverishly as I plan meetings with Potential Producers

Each day that I write more of one of my books or short stories, I get more excited. I feel the anticipation for my books to be published and for my writing to be recognized as notable. I was born with a gift so I'm not bragging about having any special talents. All my talents are gifts from God. I can only hope and pray that I will use them in a way that will uplift and inspire others. Right now, I have several big irons in my fire. That keeps me focused because I thrive on multi-tasking.

Here is the latest business news regarding my personal writing projects and possible screenplays. Last night, I developed two new characters for the novel, "On the Wings of Zion". I wrote a post on The Midnight Writer where you can read all about James and Claudia, two quantum physics scientists in the story. I am introducing the technical side of this mission with these two characters. There will be an entire crew to join them but James and Claudia play significant roles.

I'm finding that my central plot is really broad and deep so I have to narrow it down. Once I hone in on the main theme the central plot will develop. Then it will be easier for me to cut out sections of the story that seem too verbose. I realize that the character development is very important at the same time that I am fine tuning the central plot. The characters have to fit into the story and have room to interact and blossom. Dialogue isn't crucial at this point but it helps me to insert some as the inspiration strikes because I use the dialogue as a focal point for story development.

As always, with any written work, this is all subject to editing until the ink from the final draft dries on the printout!

I haven't even thought about scene or location development yet or setting. I'm keeping my focus on the plot and the character development. It is easy for me to jump all over the map then my story gets too spread out. Editing and cutting is no fun for me because I don't like the "delete" button.

As you can see, I have my work cut out for me over the next few months. In May, we are taking a trip to Utah to sit down with a movie producer. I was invited to discuss our projects and theirs. Who knows, we might be able to strike up a mutual working relationship. The owner of the company is a photographer so I can probably get a nice head shot done for Mountain Spirit Productions. Cephas and I both need one. We also have a music recording that we are hoping to produce into a video. This is possible in the same visit. Then there is the promo short film. I need to write this before May so we can talk about filming it.

Busy times. Fun times.  Travel along with us as our company grows and until our work finally meets the public audience.
